The Birth of The ANCHOR™ Method
Some people think a method begins with a whiteboard.
Mine began with an ending.
In 2017, my life cracked open.
From the outside, I had built what many people would have called a successful life. I had founded multiple businesses, received awards, built a reputation, and spent years helping other people create beautiful moments.
I knew how to achieve.
I knew how to perform.
I knew how to keep going.
What I did not know was who I was without the roles I had built my identity around.
When life stripped those roles away, I found myself standing inside a question I could no longer outrun.
Who am I when I stop proving my worth?
I was not trying to create a framework.
I was trying to save myself.
And somewhere inside that collapse, I heard the voice of my inner child say two words:
Anchor yourself.
I did not understand what she meant.
There was no method.
There was no acronym.
There was no book.
There was no Worthy Wands.
There was only a woman whose life had fallen apart, and a younger part of her asking her not to leave again.
Before There Was a Method, There Was a Return
For years, those words stayed with me.
Anchor yourself.
Sometimes they felt like a whisper. Sometimes they felt like a plea. Sometimes they felt like an instruction I was only beginning to understand.
My inner child was not asking me to become stronger. She was asking me to become safe. She was asking me to stop abandoning her every time life became uncomfortable. To stop overriding what I knew. To stop choosing approval over truth. To stop reaching outside myself for permission, reassurance, and rescue.
She was asking me to stay.
That was the beginning of The ANCHOR™ Method, although I would not recognize it for years.
I was living it before I could name it.
Every time I told the truth.
Every time I set a boundary.
Every time I noticed an old pattern before it took over.
Every time I paused instead of reacting.
Every time I chose not to disappear from my own life.
I was anchoring.
The Search for Language
I spent years trying to understand what lasting transformation actually required.
I immersed myself in psychology, coaching, trauma-informed practice, nervous system regulation, neuroplasticity, NLP, hypnosis, human behaviour, identity, and the science of change.
The more I learned, the clearer something became.
Information alone rarely changes a life.
Awareness does.
Embodiment does.
Practice does.
But beneath all of it was something even more important.
The relationship you have with yourself.
You can know every theory. You can read every book. You can understand exactly why you do what you do.
But when the moment comes, when your nervous system is activated, when fear is loud, when an old wound is touched, the question is not only whether you understand yourself.
The question is whether you will stay with yourself.
That became the centre of my work.
Worthy Wands Was Never Just Jewelry
In 2018, Worthy Wands was born. Many people saw jewelry, but I always saw something different.
I saw a physical anchor.
A tangible reminder that could meet a woman in the moment she was most likely to forget herself.
Long before I had language for the complete framework, I understood the power of repetition, touch, and identity.
What you wear, you wire.
Every necklace.
Every bracelet.
Every affirmation.
Every touch.
They were not accessories. They were invitations to return.
A woman could reach for the words around her wrist or against her heart and interrupt the old story before it became another choice made against herself.
The jewelry became the mirror.
The return was always the work.
The Patterns Beneath the Stories
As the years passed, I worked with women from every walk of life.
Different careers.
Different relationships.
Different ages.
Different stories.
Yet beneath the surface, I kept witnessing the same patterns.
They abandoned themselves to keep the peace.
They confused self-sacrifice with love.
They over-functioned until exhaustion became normal.
They searched for confidence while disconnecting from themselves.
They knew what they needed.
They knew what felt wrong.
They knew what was true.
But in the moments that mattered most, they could not always access that knowing.
I understood this because I had lived it. The details were different, but the abandonment was the same.
So was the longing.
Every woman wanted to feel safe enough to stay connected to herself.
Every woman wanted to trust her own voice.
Every woman wanted to stop disappearing from her own life.
The question was never simply, how do we change a behaviour?
The deeper question was: How does a woman become someone she can rely on?
The Method Revealed Itself
The ANCHOR™ Method did not arrive all at once.
It revealed itself through the life I had lived, the woman I had become, the work I had studied, and the patterns I witnessed again and again.
It took me nearly a decade to understand what my inner child had meant when she asked me to anchor myself.
She was not asking me to hold everything together.
She was asking me to hold onto myself.
Over time, the path became visible.
Awareness.
Nervous System.
Choice.
Honor.
Ownership.
Remembrance.
I did not create those pillars and then build my life around them. I recognized that they were the path I had already walked.
Awareness allowed me to see what was true.
Nervous system safety helped me remain present with it.
Choice reminded me that I was not powerless.
Honor taught me to let my actions reflect what I knew.
Ownership returned the pen to my hand.
Remembrance brought me back to the self I had spent so many years performing over.
The method was not created on a whiteboard. It was lived in the moments I chose not to abandon myself.
The Relationship With Yourself Changes Everything
At first, I thought the work was about healing. Then I thought it was about nervous system regulation. Then I understood it as self-leadership.
Eventually, I saw the truth beneath all of it. Everything changes when the relationship you have with yourself changes.
Every boundary is shaped by that relationship.
Every decision.
Every conversation.
Every opportunity.
Every relationship.
Every dream you allow yourself to pursue.
The ANCHOR™ Method is not simply about calming the nervous system. It is not simply about making better choices. It is about becoming someone you can trust not to leave you.
Someone who can hear what is true and remain present long enough to honor it. Someone who no longer requires discomfort to disappear before she chooses herself. Someone who knows how to return.
From Lived Experience to a Body of Work
As Worthy Wands grew, so did the ways women experienced the philosophy.
It became wearable anchors.
Educational resources.
Coaching.
Reflections.
Assessments.
Community.
Conversations.
Eventually, it became the foundation of my book, You Are the Anchor.
The book was not the beginning of The ANCHOR™ Method. It was the gathering together of what I had spent years living, studying, teaching, and refining.
It gave language to the path that had saved me.
A path that began in 2017 with two words spoken by the youngest part of me.
Anchor yourself.
The Meaning I Was Searching For
For years, I thought anchoring meant becoming unshakeable. Now I know it means something far more human. It means staying with yourself when you are afraid.
Listening when something inside you says no. Honoring what you know before the world agrees. Choosing yourself without requiring anyone else to understand. Taking responsibility for your life without punishing yourself for your past. Remembering who you are beneath every role you learned to perform.
You do not become someone new through The ANCHOR™ Method. You return to the self who was there before you learned to leave her.
That is the heart of the method.
That is the philosophy behind Worthy Wands.
That is the truth woven through You Are the Anchor.
And that is the promise beneath everything I create.
The world will give you countless reasons to leave yourself.
The work is learning how to stay.
