To the woman who has been tirelessly outsourcing her worthiness, this one's for you.
It's time to have a heart-to-heart and explore the breathtaking realization that your worth and value are already within you waiting to be recognized. Today we're delving into the significance of acknowledging your innate worth and I'll be sharing some empowering steps that helped me shift my perspective and embark on this transformative journey of self-discovery.
The Hidden Cost of Outsourcing Worthiness
Picture a world where you're the CEO of a company, and your worth is the cornerstone of your business. Now imagine if you handed over the reins of your self-worth to others, allowing external opinions and validations to dictate your value.
When I put it in that context it doesn't make much sense does it?
You are the sole proprietor of your worth, and no one else holds the pen but you. That means you get to decide your worth and value. Really pause and acknowledge this. No one else gets to decide your worth and value. Doesn't that just feel like you've discovered a hidden treasure chest within yourself? Where this treasure isn't measured by societal standards or the judgments of others; it's the priceless essence of who you are.
When we can embrace this truth is grants us the freedom to live authentically, and make choices that align with our values, and walk our path with unwavering confidence. It's almost like we've replaced the cloudy filter of self-doubt with one that radiates clarity, self-compassion – where we recognize that imperfections are part of our unique beauty. They make us who we are. Perfection doesn't exist. Perfection is an abstract idea, a mirage that can lead to unrealistic expectations and unnecessary self-criticism.
Instead of striving for an unattainable ideal of perfection, consider focusing on the concept of "progress." Progress celebrates the journey of improvement and growth and that's why we're here - evolution and growth over a lifetime.
Remember, embracing imperfections doesn't mean settling for mediocrity; it means recognizing the beauty and authenticity in our uniqueness and understanding that true worth and value and fulfillment come from embracing our individuality and striving for growth in a compassionate and balanced way.
After reading this today, carve out moments of introspection. Reflect on your experiences, strengths, and the journey that has shaped you. Acknowledge the challenges you've conquered and the lessons you've learned. Your worth is woven into each step you've taken.
Treat yourself with kindness and understanding. Like you would a small child, because when we "feel" unworthy or are questioning our own worth and value, it's not the wise woman or man doing this - its the small child within us that was programed to believe something that isn't true. When self-doubt creeps in, and it will because we are wired for survival, replace it with affirmations that celebrate your strengths. Remember, your worth isn't contingent upon perfection – it thrives in your authenticity.
Set Personal Boundaries: Consider where you may have allowed others to define your worth. Boundaries act as a shield, protecting your self-value from external influences. Saying "no" when it aligns with your true self is an act of honoring your worth.
Engage in Self-Care Rituals: Engage in activities that replenish your spirit and nurture your well-being. Self-care is a testament to your worthiness. Whether it's keeping promises you make to yourself, enjoying a bubble bath, or simply taking a walk, each act reinforces your worth and value.
Celebrate Your Achievements: Take a moment to celebrate your achievements, no matter how big or small. Each accomplishment is a testament to your capabilities and determination. Celebrating these milestones fuels your sense of self-worth and it gives your brain the memo of what celebration outside of milestones feel like. Normally our bodies only experience celebration when our favourite team wins, or we have a birthday or hit a milestone. YOU ARE A MILESTONE. Every day should be a celebration of something. Give yourself this gift and accept it as if it was being gifted to you by someone you love. Because it is.
Surround Yourself with Empowerment: Choose the company of individuals who uplift and support you. Surrounding yourself with positivity and encouragement helps you see your own worth more clearly.
Challenge Negative Self-Talk: When that inner critic pipes up, challenge it. Look for evidence. In most cases there is no evidence is fear. It's us comparing our journey to another and when we do that we will always feel like we're not enough. But who are we not enough for? Our egos. Learn to challenge it, thank it for trying to keep you safe and swipe right or is it left? ( never been on a dating app lol )
This is your journey, savor it. Celebrate it. See yourself. Reclaim yourself. Recognize yourself. As you do, you'll turn your gaze inward, and you'll uncover the remarkable tapestry of your worth that has been within you all along.
Everything you need is found within. When we don't go within, we go without. Remember, you're not starting from scratch – you're unveiling the masterpiece that's been waiting for your acknowledgment. So, take that first step, embrace your worth, and watch as your life transforms into a vibrant canvas of empowerment and authenticity. You've got this.
I'm cheering for you always.
