Stop Trying to Feel Worthy
If you've spent years trying to become more confident, more lovable, more enough, I'd like you to consider something.
What if your worth was never the thing that disappeared?
What if your relationship with yourself did?
There is a difference.
Most people spend years trying to fix themselves.
The ANCHOR™ Method asks a different question.
Where did you leave yourself?
Because you cannot return to somewhere you refuse to acknowledge you walked away from.
That changes everything.
Try This Instead
This practice takes less than three minutes.
Awareness
Think about something that has been bothering you recently.
Maybe someone hasn't texted back.
Maybe you're worried about disappointing someone.
Maybe you've been replaying a conversation.
Now ask yourself:
What story am I making this mean about me?
Write the first answer.
Don't edit it.
Nervous System
Before answering again, place one hand on your chest.
Feel your breath, not to calm yourself. Simply to remind your body that you are here.
You don't regulate to escape discomfort. You regulate so you can see clearly.
Choice
Now ask: If I already believed I was enough, what would I choose next?
Notice how different that answer feels.
Nothing outside you changed. Only the place you chose from.
That is the beginning of self-worth. Not feeling better. Choosing differently in favour of what's in your highest and best.
Honor
Now ask yourself one more question.
What would it look like to honor that choice today?
Perhaps it means saying no.
Perhaps it means asking for what you need.
Perhaps it means resting without guilt.
Perhaps it means speaking kindly to yourself for the first time in a long time.
Worth isn't just something we believe.
It's something we practice.
Every time you honor yourself, you strengthen the relationship you have with yourself.
Ownership
Take a slow breath.
Notice what shifted during these last few minutes.
No one apologized.
Nothing outside of you changed.
You simply chose to return to yourself.
That is your power.
No one can take ownership of your worth for you.
It begins the moment you decide to stop waiting for someone else to confirm what has always been true.
Remembrance
Place your hand on your heart one last time.
Or, if you're wearing an anchor, let your fingers rest gently against it.
Close your eyes.
Take one slow breath.
And simply remember.
You were never trying to become worthy.
You were remembering what was always true.
You are worthy.
Not because you achieved enough.
Not because someone chose you.
Not because you've healed every wound.
Simply because you are here.
And every time life invites you to forget, you now know the way back.
That is what it means to anchor yourself.
